Character Board

Character Board
To think about my character in more detail I went though the years to pick out some of the more famous villains, as well as a few less well known to draw from. The main theme I can see running through most of them is the spark of insanity. Most of the characters are very smart and wise, but are clouded by insane thoughts. You can also see that many of them have uncommon facial aspects (Make-Up, Masks, Darkened eyes, scars etc) and these are the features that highlight to the audience that this is the villain.

The colour of there attire is mostly dark and violent coloured, with lots of blacks, reds and greens. These reinforces the characters as being dark and evil. The characters also seem to show a lack of hair with most of the villians, either being bald, or having masks or helmets. Many more things can be seen from these images such as the characters size and most common gender and will help me decide on my characters final look.

After looking at most of the characters I am inclined to stay with my original idea. I feel a man of middle-late age, with a skinny yet stylish look. Trench coat with a pointy black shoes. I feel from looking at my board that the face should have dark eyes, ridged cheeks and a sharp chin. The characters face could be almost white, as if to look ghostly. His smile should be what makes the character looks evil, with a case of insanity. This will be the hardest thing to do. To keep the character targeted towards younger kids, I believe the best personality to give him, alongside his insanity is that of an upper class. A well educated man, but with a presents a clumsiness.
